Green sea turtles are vital to marine ecosystems as they help maintain healthy seagrass beds and coral reefs by grazing on seagrass. Their nesting activities also transport nutrients from the ocean to beaches, benefiting coastal vegetation.

Fun Fact: Green sea turtles can hold their breath for up to five hours underwater! They also return to the same beach where they were born to lay their eggs.
